CFTS 2018 CALENDAR

The new CFTS event calendar for 2018 is here, please make a note of all the relevant CFTS events in your diary, pc, tablet, mobile phone, post-it note or the back of your hand!

CFTS host courses with visiting instructors for the pleasure and enjoyment of all its members. They are held to further enhance the knowledge and development of all students, regardless of grade, to assist them towards becoming an effective black belt. Some courses are subsidised by the licence fee.

The instructors booked are all masters in their field all of which are fully qualified, insured and hold current CRB clearance. Furthermore all the instructors are nice people and do not have egos nor are they greedy with the fee they charge.  It is nice to train under guidance of other instructors who complement our usual tuition in a relaxed environment alongside CFTS black belts.

CFTS host courses with visiting instructors for the pleasure and enjoyment of all its’ members. They are held to further enhance the knowledge and development of all students, regardless of grade, to assist them towards becoming an effective black belt. Some courses are subsidised by the licence fee.

Please note that this year they will all be held on Saturday afternoons at Hastingsbury School in Kempston, as will gradings for Bedford area.

The course instructors booked are all masters in their field all of which are fully qualified, insured and hold current CRB clearance. Furthermore all the instructors are nice people and do not have egos nor are they greedy with the fee they charge. It is nice to train under guidance of other instructors who complement our usual tuition in a relaxed environment alongside CFTS black belts.

Courses hosted by neighbouring associations and their student’s attendance are compulsory and they charge much more than CFTS. Over the last few years the instructors of CFTS have done all they can to encourage our members to attend our courses voluntarily yet still we have some students that have not attended any at all.

We in CFTS have always tried to stay away from making anything compulsory. However at the black belt AGM held in October 2011 the subject was discussed at great length. It was decided that all students of CFTS must attend an absolute minimum of one course a year over the age of eleven and/or above the grade of yellow belt. This decision was arrived at for the benefit of the student to enhance their knowledge and ability and to make passing advanced grades more readily achievable.

May we politely point out that when licencing a student agrees to the rules and any amendments made during their membership. Previous year’s most of our students have attended and enjoyed more than one course. If you would like to know more about those courses ask someone who attended or visit our website. www.cfts-karate.co.uk

Once a person has been to a course they will understand why the decision regarding attendance was been arrived at, and then want to attend more. If the need to attend courses gives you cause for concern please discuss the matter with your club instructor. If transport is an issue please raise that at the same time as we are sure assistance can be given.

The publishing and issuing of our events calendar well in advance of any event is designed to allow a student to plan ahead and so make it easier to attend. Many thanks for your support and understanding. We look forward to seeing you at the courses and the competition where we promise you a warm welcome and some great afternoon’s martial arts.
