Dan gradings take months of mental and physical preparation. You need to be physically fit, have good understanding of karate theory, and be able to perform your grading syllabus to a high standard.
Karate-ka need to understand their weaknesses prior to a grading and work hard on improving them, as the grading will expose any weaknesses.
That said, we are pleased to announce that the following karate-ka successfully passed their Dan gradings:
Ryan Sigward achieved Nidan (Second level Black belt)
Daniel Young achieved Nidan (Second level Black belt)
Commiserations to those that failed; the Dan grades are hard to pass but it is a true test of character to train hard and re-attempt the grading next time.
