Katy Egginton

I started Karate while still at school, as a way to distract me from the pressure of my GCSE’s. I trained on and off with various different clubs and associations over the next 10 years, before stopping for what I thought was for good, when I had my children.

It was not to be, in 2008 I started a new job in Milton Keynes with Lesley Little, who was then a Black belt with CFTS. She encouraged me to come along to Bletchley to give it a go again.

Now 7 years later I have finally achieved my Shodan, a level I never expected to get to! I still look forward to training every week and am lucky enough to share that enthusiasm with my children and a number of people who have become friends.
